WELCOME
Hello 👋 My name is Emma and I live with chronic fatigue and the daily physical and mental struggles… but I’m determined not to let them steal all the fun. This blog is my little corner of the internet where I share the messy, hilarious, and surprisingly hopeful side of life with a body that doesn’t always cooperate.
About Me
My Story
When I was 21 I fell very unwell. Trips back and fourth to A&E only to be told "It's just a cold, you'll be fine" 3 weeks passed by and I was on the floor in A&E in agony, I will never forget the doctor, about to head home stuck his head in to say goodbye to the nurse looking me over, he came rushing over pushed on my stomach and said "She needs admitting right away!"
The doctors told me if i hadnt of been admitted that night I would most likely of gone home and not made it. My liver & kidneys were failing as well as many other things. After 6 weeks of being in hospital I was told "You have Chronic Fatigue, you will have this for the rest of you life".
Now, at the time I had no idea what they was onabout, it was only a few years down the line that my body began failing in ways i didn't know were possible. Eventually, I realized two things:
-
Life with chronic fatigue/pain is hard
-
Life without humor is harder
So instead of writing a medical diary (snore), I decided to create a space where we can laugh, vent, and connect — because sometimes laughter is the best medicine (though, let’s be honest, ibuprofen helps too)
What You’ll Find Here
On this blog, you’ll get:
-
Honest stories about the ups, downs, and laying on the couch scrolling TikTok for three hours straight
-
Lighthearted reflections that remind us we’re more than our symptoms
-
A safe, supportive place where you’ll never hear “but you don’t look sick!”
Why Listen to Me?
I’m not a doctor (thank goodness for everyone involved) But I am someone who lives this life every single day. I know what it feels like to cancel plans, wrestle with guilt, and try to find joy in the middle of exhaustion. My experience is real, my humor is intact, and my mission is to remind you that you’re not alone
A Few Fun Facts 🎉
-
My spirit animal is a sloth (obviously).

I believe naps should be an Olympic sport
-
My guilty pleasure? Rewatching the same sitcoms because I definitely don’t have the energy for new plotlines!
